The Cornerian Army is one of the main military forces of Corneria, the purpose being is to patrol and protect the Lylat System from any and all assailants. Squadrons of this army have been dispatched to various areas of the Lylat System to keep the peace constant. This branch of the military is not to be confused with the Cornerian Defense Force, which deals with threats primarily on Corneria.

In Star Fox 64, the Cornerian Army is quickly overpowered by the unexpected invasion of the Venomian Army. The Cornerian Army, during that time, had control over Corneria, Sector Y, Katina, as well as Fortuna (actually Fichina), and they usually managed to endure until Star Fox came to the rescue.

During the time of Star Fox: Assault, the Cornerian Army is able to repel most of Oikonny's rebelling forces, giving the Star Fox Team time to pursue Andrew Oikonny. It is assumed that they, like the Cornerian Defense Force, were almost entirely decimated trying to prevent the sudden invasion of the powerful Aparoids. The Cornerian Army base that rested on Katina was among the first victims of the Aparoid invasion.

General Pepper grew ill and passed his profession as general of the Cornerian Army over to Peppy Hare by the time of Star Fox Command, in which the lone army must once again attempt to defend Lylat from a rapid invasion from a new powerful enemy threat, the Anglars, although his true fate is uknown. Several members of the Cornerian Army are playable in this game, including Bill Grey, a childhood freind of Fox, who was his classmate in the Cornerian Acadamy, and Dash Bowman, late nephew of Andross himself. Also, in this game, Krystal joins the Cornerian Army prior to defecting to the Star Wolf Team. She takes her fighter along with her, although she paints it pink. It is identical to Bill's ship.

General PepperEdit

General Pepper ( ペパー将軍 Pepā Shōgun) is commander of all of Corneria's forces in the Lylat System. He offered the Star Fox team an official commission in the end of Star Fox 64, but Fox refused it, stating that they "prefer to do things their way". He retired some time before the events of Star Fox Command due to sickness.

General PeppyEdit

Peppy Hare (ペッピー・ヘア Peppī Hea) served in the Cornerian army alongside James and Pepper before pulling out to become a founding member of the mercenaries for hire team Star Fox. After the Aparoid invaion, Peppy replaced Pepper as the general of the Cornerian Army during the Anglar Blitz. During the game, it is learned that he has a daughter named Lucy Hare, who is teaching astrophysics at Fichina.

Bill GreyEdit

William "Bill" Grey (ビル・グレイ Biru Gurei) is a Bulldog ace pilot in the Cornerian Army that serves on Katina. He wears a Green Ace Army Commander Helmet on his head, the fact being he is the Commander of his own team. He was a good friend to Fox McCloud in his childhood, whom convinced him to join the Cornerian Flight Academy with him some years ago.

Dash BowmanEdit

Dash Bowman is a young pilot for the Cornerian Army, as well as the grandson of Andross and first cousin, once removed of Andrew Oikonny. He thinks very highly of Fox and Falco, and wishes to join the Star Fox Team. Even though he looks small and weak he is a highly trained and highly skilled pilot.

Captain ShearsEdit

Captain Shears was a high ranking officer in the Cornerian army who resembled General Pepper's original SNES design. Eventually he was revealed to be a follower of Andross, attempting to revive the fallen ape emperor. After losing a duel with Fox, he was presumably crushed by the Andross clone he created.

Krystal (クリスタル Kurisutaru) Krystal is a member of the Star Fox team who serves as the telepath. In Command, Krystal joins the Cornerian army after being forced to leave the Star Fox team.

• Sunglasses seem to be a common fashion in the Cornerian army as they are worn by several of the above characters including General Pepper, Bill, Krystal and Captain Shears. James McCloud who once served in the Cornerian army is famous for having never been seen without his sunglasses.
• Several dogs are affiliated to the Cornerian army following General Pepper, same goes for monkeys and primates in the Venomian army, who follow Andross.
• The Cornerian army are similar to the Enforcers from Swat Kats, both cannot save their worlds alone, both are infected by the evil forces of alien bugs.
