On the Night Owl stage, crash into all 4 signs labeled StarFox. After ramming all 4, an Arwing will fly overhead and drop a powerup.

In Hinopio's shop in Barrel Volcano, you will see three model ships: Captain Falcon's Blue Falcon from F-Zero, Samurai Goroh's Fire Stingray from F-Zero, and an Arwing from Star Fox.

Using Cheat Devices such as Gameshark, an Arwing can be made to appear as an enemy.

Fox appears as a Playable Character with a stage based on Sector Z and takes place on top of the Great Fox

Fox returns as a playable character and with two stages: Corneria and Venom, both atop the Great Fox. Corneria's stage is a side view, and Venom, a frontal view. Both stages possess Arwings and Wolfens which swoop down and fire lasers. On Corneria, the two fighters can be used as platforms, but fly off screen after several seconds. Falco also appears as an unlockable Character.

James McCloud, a returning character from F-Zero X on the Nintendo 64, bears the same name as Fox's father, and has a similar appearance to said character (despite being human). He is part of a group called "Galaxy Dogs," a parody of the name "Star Fox." McCloud's biography in F-Zero also notes him having a wife and a young son.

Fox, Falco, and Wolf are playable and there is a new stage taking place on a ship (the stage is called the Lylat Cruise) above Corneria and in an asteroid belt. The Corneria stage from Melee is also available. Other characters and objects from the Starfox series of games also have cameos as unlockable trophies and in a easter egg.
