  • Hello Son of Andross. I hope all is well. The wiki looks like it's in great shape and I'm sure it's thanks to the efforts of you and the other active users. Dogman would be proud.

I do have a couple questions. The first is about the wiki: Why did you indefinitely protect some of the character articles? Were they targets of anonymous vandalism, or were people creating accounts to vandalize them? Or is this in anticipation of the new Smash game? I ask because I found some info (this will be in my next question) and wanted to add it, but can't, as I am no longer an admin and lack the permissions.

The second question is I found some new info on Star Fox: Assault's multiplayer. Apparently, the Wolfen and Arwing are different for Falco and Wolf; Falco's targeting reticle in the Arwing is the largest of any character, but in the Wolfen, it's the smallest. For Wolf, the reverse is true; he's an ace in the Wolfen, but not the Arwing. I figured I'd run it by you since I can't make edits, assuming you're well-versed on the inner workings of Assault.

    • Hey Blue, it's great to see you here on Arwingpedia again buddy. Yes, all seems to be going well for Star Fox thanks to the upcoming Smash and Starlink crossovers which will increase new hype after that spell where Star Fox popularity seemed to die down even after the releases of Zero and even Star Fox 2. I confess even I was inactive for a while due to college work.

Now to answer your questions, yes I admit that characters like Fox, Falco, Wolf and especially Krystal were subject to too many unwanted edits thanks to their popularity, so I decided to prevent this by locking out inexperienced users, but I shall rectify that now.

Yes that info does sound legit given the Assault statistics and characters. If there's anything else on this Wiki that we're missing, then feel free to add it, because you're most welcome here. If you want to become admin again, then don't hesitate to ask, as we're down by one after 1hs444 retired.

    • I appreciate your warm response, and thank you for getting back to me.

I will try to be as active as I can. Like you said there's lots to add with Starlink and Smash on the horizon. However, I am also busy with studies and work, which will limit how much time I can spend here, so I don't think I could properly use admin powers just yet.

  • Hi.

I'm noticing that the loading of Star Fox 2 and other places with tabs in the main article seems to be rather sluggish, and clicking on the tabs seems to not work. Think you can look into it?

  • Hello!

I am a member of staff at FANDOM working on the Game Team. Due to the upcoming release of Star Fox 2, I was asked to stop by and assist with any SF2-related content or theme design (wordmark, background image or main page design) you community may need help with.

First things first though. I noticed right away that your community was not yet using Discussions, our Forum feature replacement we developed for our communities last year. We no longer support Special:Forums and will be sun-setting that feature later in the year. In the meantime, we have switched all new communities to Discussions and are manually enabling it on already established communities who are willing to make the change now.

Discussions is a feature that users can use to post questions, thoughts, images, links and even videos. They can upvote posts and even share them on social media. Users can edit their posts for the first 24 hours, but Admins and Moderators can edit posts anytime. Users can report posts they feel do not comply with our guidelines, or that of the community. Admins and Moderators can remove them. We give you the tools you need. Since the introduction of Discussions, we have seen a pretty big increase in community interaction. You can find more information on Discussions here.

As part of the process, we can import your current Forums into Discussions. Your current Forum can co-exist with Discussions temporarily if necessary but we would prefer to just import them into Discussions when we enable it. The current forum topic would be imported as categories, so everything stays in order.

Let me know if your community would like to have Discussions enabled and your forums imported. I would be happy to take care of it for you. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.

    Thanks!

    • Hi there, sorry for the late response as I've been on vacation. Yes I can see where you're coming from and since Star Fox 2 is due to be the "current" game in the series, if you'd like to help make changes to the community and update the wallpaper etc themes, then feel free.

    • This is great, thanks for the help with the upcoming release of Star Fox 2. I think having the new Discussions feature would be great to enable for this wiki just in case. If you can import the discussions from the Forum to Discussions then that would be great. Thanks!

        Loading editor
    • Already put in a request for it. I can enable Discussions anytime, but Forum importing is done by a different team, so they will do both at the same time. Should be soon!

        Loading editor
    • The import is complete. I moved the General Discussion topic posts to General (General is the only one that cannot be deleted or renamed). The Insights tool will allow admins and moderators to track reported posts and users. If you any questions about Discussions, please feel free to ask.

  • On Wolf's page, it says "73.02 SK" what does SK mean?

    • I guess SK is an abriviation of Space Kilograms, just as SM is an abriviation of Space Meters. Characters with a known height, weight go under these categories.

How does Space support their weight? I mean Planets, yeah. But Stars has the most gravity.

    • The measurements (SK & SM) that are featured in Star Fox media come from various pieces of supplement materials such as Nintendo Power, the Star Fox 64 official site, even reappearing in Star Fox Zero and seem to be unique artistic material to this series but then again they are probably comparable to real world statistics of Kilograms and Meters. As for space supporting weight, anything that might defy possibilities can be attributed to the incredible secrets of the in-game G-Diffusion technology.

  • Hello there my friend, I am sorry for being abset for so long. I have been very busy in college throughout this year, I do still overlook sometimes incase someone messes around here while you are gone. I will continue to look over the wikia, but I may still be gone at times still. I am glad to be back now to see everything looking great.

I see there are new updates Wikia has done for all the wikias. Are they named Fandom now? Also I see the navigation bar looks pretty different. I like it, but I don't know how we would change it unless we get someone that knows how to work with CSS well.

It's nice to see you again.

    • It caught me by surprise that this game is actually going to be officially released now. Can't wait to see all the official information from the game when the SNES Classic/Mini releases. I've already added the game to the game slider on the main page and added it to the Games part of the navigation bar of the wikia since it will be officially released.

    • Kudos, I gave Fay and Miyu tabs upgrades as they will no doubt benefit from it. This is subject to change but I added an entry in Pepper's games tab for Star Fox 2.

  • An FYI, if you look at the actual overlay graphic itself or part of the song, that design has one part which is shaped like Falco's beak after finding out by comparing his bill with the one shown on the graphic.

    • That's not a offer for purchasing the music and I'm also not a spammer. It's a comparison trivial fact that those things look like each other.

    • No I meant I'm not buying it is an expression meaning I don't believe it or I don't consider it truthful information. Ether way, it's nothing worth adding so the matter is closed.

  • Im not sure if you know villain is but he dosent have a wiki page on this website but the villains name is spinosaurus he appears in the star fox adventures series games and he is a dinosaur so any way can you tell me some info about this guy and show me a picture of him and tell me what star fox adventure game he appears in for his debut first appearance and can you tell me what the name of his species is thank you

      Loading editor
    • Uh, there's only one Adventures game in the Star Fox series, which does feature dinosaur characters, as well as the sequel game Star Fox: Assault. I'm not sure which villian you're asking about there, but there's defiantly no Spinosaur characters in Star Fox Adventures. If it's the important villain in Star Fox Adventures called General Scales you're interested in, then see here.

    • SF64 Fox Class Card Nintendo Power

Nintendo Power's Collector card of Fox's details.

Hi, are you asking me about the known Star Fox character's heights? I can answer that for you. Nintendo Power gave out these details in their materials back in 1997. Nintendo Power's Collector's cards and the official Star Fox 64 site also back these stats. There is a listed site under various character's references headings known as bald ninja which provides stats for characters in the Star Fox 64 game. I'm not too sure where characters like Krystal's stats come from but they probably come from the Nintendo Power Star Fox Adventures guide, which I don't actually own. I think SM is likely just meters converted into feet. Going off topic, Mario's offical height is between 4,11 and 5,1 and Fox is clearly bigger than him in the SSB games, so 5,6 sounds about right for him. There's a strategy guide for Zero on the way with what appears to be the same stats for the Arwing etc used by Nintendo Power's Star Fox 64 strategy guide so changes may be coming.

      Thanks for asking.
