The Mirage Dragon was set to be an enemy character in the game Star Fox 2.
It is known for having some early exposure in magazines, as well as being one of the few constants over the course of the game's development. In the near-final version, it was displayed prominently in the game's opening. It was one of the four Hunter bosses (which was always the one fought in Normal difficulty), and attacked using beams from its mouth. It also behaved kind of like a normal dragon would, in that it grabbed a spacecraft and threw it towards another spacecraft. It also slices as mothership in the intro with its beam.
